Seven Mile Café:  3 Stars (out of 5)-By Edwin

We ate breakfast here last weekend and really enjoyed it.  I had the Benny’s Sampler (see pic) which lets you choose 2 different types of eggs benedict.  I choose the Ahi Tuna Benny and the Irish Benny (with corn beef hash).  Both were great and delicious.  My wife had the Jo’s Taco plate with egg whites and Soyrizo (veggie chorizo).  The tacos came 3 to a plate and they were really good (I got to eat one of them).  The place seems to specialize in slightly out of the ordinary breakfast foods and gourmet coffee.  The house where the restaurant is located in nicely decorated inside with the walls doubling as an art gallery.    The seating is very tight and the tables are close together.  If you are a large person, choose your seat carefully or you’ll uncomfortable.  The tables are so close together, you can hear all the different conversations going on at other tables.  There seemed to be a tendency for patrons at one table to join conversations at other nearby tables.  The service was friendly and our food came out fairly quickly, but I never got a water refill and was completely out by the time I was done eating.   I asked about the name of the restaurant and our server informed us it was named after Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman.  She said it’s the owner’s favorite vacation spot.  I’m not a huge breakfast person, but the food here was top notch.  I wish they served Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and accepted American Express…but oh well.  Service-3 stars, Ambiance (too many tables, too close)-2  1/2 stars, food-4 stars, Value-4 stars
